"Duniya Matlab Di" by Smackyar & Zafi Al Official
Duniya Matlab Di" delves into the darker facets of human nature, exploring themes of deception, cheating, and selfishness. The song poignantly addresses how individuals often prioritize personal gain over genuine relationships and moral integrity. It paints a vivid picture of a world where self-interest trumps honesty, leading to a landscape riddled with betrayal and deceit.
The track unravels the impact of these negative traits, revealing how the pursuit of personal advantage can erode trust and foster an environment of manipulation. Through its lyrics, "Duniya Matlab Di" challenges listeners to confront the harsh realities of a world where the authentic values of empathy and fairness are frequently overshadowed by the allure of personal benefit.
Smackyar and Zafi Al Official use their artistry to reflect on the consequences of such behaviors, urging a critical examination of the human tendency to deceive and exploit others for selfish reasons. The song serves as both a commentary on societal flaws and a call for greater authenticity and integrity in human interactions.

Every year, many Muslims engage in celebrations for Islamic New Year’s Day. From social media updates to New Year’s Eve parties, some go all out to mark the occasion. However, I believe this is not just a harmless cultural practice but a step in the wrong direction.
As Muslims, we have our own calendar that has been in use for 1400 years. Although we may use the Gregorian calendar due to external circumstances, it doesn't mean we should imitate it in every aspect. Here are a few reasons why:
Firstly, the month of Muharram holds significant historical and religious importance. It marks the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain (a.s), the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H), and the son of Hazrat Imam Ali (a.s). The first ten days of Muharram are a time of mourning and reflection, commemorating the tragic events of Ashura. Hazrat Imam Hussain (a.s) stood against the oppressive rule of Yazeed, upholding Quranic principles of justice and fairness, even though it led to his martyrdom.
Can we truly wish a "Happy New Year" when the Islamic year begins with the remembrance of such a horrific event? The answer is clear: no.
Secondly, any celebration by Muslims should consider the broader context of the global and local situations of our fellow human beings. The two Eids, Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha, emphasize prayers, dua for those suffering, and almsgiving. Celebrating New Year’s Day, however, does not serve this purpose. It disconnects us from the harsh realities faced by many in the Ummah, such as starvation in Somalia, conflict in Syria, oppression in Gaza, and ethnic cleansing in Burma.
Salahuddin Ayyubi once explained his somber demeanor, saying, “How can I smile when I know that Masjid Al Aqsa is being defiled and the Muslims are suffering?!” His dedication and awareness of the Ummah's plight were crucial to his success. This mindset contrasts sharply with the typical New Year’s Eve celebrations, which often reflect the customs of non-Islamic cultures and lack a basis in Islam.
The number of scholars who condone New Year celebrations is minimal. Even those who find it acceptable rarely partake in such festivities themselves. This discrepancy suggests that, while some may see it as permissible, it is not preferable.
This message is meant as a gentle reminder, not a harsh rebuke. Islam encourages us to be warm and welcoming, attracting others to our faith. However, this does not mean we should subordinate our faith, culture, or heritage. We can display our manners and act as ambassadors for Islam without adopting the celebrations of others. Doing so might seem harmless, but it risks diluting our cultural and religious identity.
So, this year, as the clock strikes 12 and the date turns to the 1st of Muharram, please refrain from celebrating New Year’s Day. May Allah grant us many more years filled with happiness, health, and unity for the entire Ummah. Ameen.

"Eid ul-Adha Mubarak" is a heartfelt greeting exchanged among Muslims worldwide during the festival of Eid ul-Adha. Also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, it commemorates Prophet Ibrahim's willingness to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God. Muslims celebrate by performing the ritual sacrifice of an animal, sharing the meat with family, friends, and those in need. It is a time for prayer, reflection, and expressing gratitude for blessings received. Eid ul-Adha fosters a spirit of unity, generosity, and community among Muslims, emphasizing faith, sacrifice, and compassion for others.
