This channel’s about learning by doing—figuring things out one mistake at a time.

If you like the idea of picking up new tools, trying new skills, and building stuff even when you're not entirely sure how it's going to turn out… you’re going to fit right in and I'm pleased to have you here.

I share the full process of my projects. What works, what doesn’t, and all the head-scratching moments in between. You’ll learn from my experiments (and my failures), and hopefully get a few ideas, or at least a few laughs, along the way.

It’s not about being perfect. It’s about being curious, giving things a go, and seeing where it takes you. Welcome! I'm so glad you're here.

Invitation to watch my next upload with me! Like this post if you're able to make it!

Friday 17th at 9PM (UK BST) I have a video going live where I practiced cutting dovetail joints every day for 365 days to see how good I could get (starting at never cutting one in my life).

I'm using the 'Premiere' feature on YouTube which means I'll be online and able to chat with you all when it goes live. The project was started over 3 years ago so it's a big one for me. I'd love to see you there if you can make it :-)

Some of the joints here are my favorites (with the practice day number written on them)

Which thumbnail would you be more likely to click on?

I'm so excited about releasing my next video on Friday 17th. It was started over 3 years ago (1st Jan 2022) and here are a couple of early thumbnail ideas!

(I can only post a square image so forgive the cropping!)

Can you help me out?? 🙏🙏🙏 Which thumbnail would make you want to watch the video??

I'm currently going through my back catalogue to update thumbnails and descriptions, you might have noticed a few posts about past projects. I've realised that all of my effort goes into my videos and little has gone into promoting them properly!

So vote below, and the winner gets the thumbnail slot!

Tried my first inlayed bowtie — a trick to stop cracks from spreading.

This olive cup I was turning split on me, so I gave it a shot and experimented with a laser cutter first (let’s just say it didn’t work out 🔥🔥🔥).

What I thought would be a quick 5-minute project turned into 6 months of evenings and weekends 😅
Built this giant toybox for a friend who couldn’t find one big enough!
