Great news ahead! We’re thrilled to announce the integration of a brand-new type of stations into the GlobalQuake infrastructure! For the first time, we're adding support for a fiber optic earthquake detection system located off the coast of Chile - the DAS network. Unlike traditional seismographs, this new system uses fiber optic cables laid on the ocean floor to detect seismic activity with INCREDIBLE SPEED. This is a huge step forward in earthquake monitoring, especially in underwater regions where conventional stations are limited or hard to maintain. 🌊
