When someone who is VERY, VERY impressive (the Arlan Hamilton) says that I am impressive, or that I've done something impressive, well then. I am floored. My jaw, on the floor. Today was so dizzying, I barely had a chance to catch myself and be grateful for this moment.
Being inside of Arlan's various communities gives me access to her experience and her expertise and helps to propel me forward. She's already helped me so much. And now, we have about 97 more days until the next level is achieved. Y'all ready? Get ready.
So, what's so impressive?
Well, for years, me and other alternative and self-directed educators have struggled to explain how SDE works, how it garners results for young people who are later independent results. How does SDE work in homeschooling? How does it work as a philosophy and way of living, even when schooled? How does SDE work within Off Da Beaten Path specifically? How does it look?
I tried and I tried, but seemed to get nowhere with how I explained what I do. People were always left with furrowed eyebrows and confusion.
Not anymore! I am finally arriving at a family-friendly way to explain SDE. Check it out. Arlan's GPT is a goldmine and basically transformed my language into something more tangible, more clear.
