Over the years, one of my most persistent goals with our YouTube videos is to encourage people to THINK about Yu-Gi-Oh. Think about the reasons why you like it, the nuanced ways you enjoy it, the systems behind it, and even the parts you loathe the most. I don't want to ever explicitly tell you people how to feel about the game. Rather, I want to just get us all thinking and hear what conclusions you've come to about Yu-Gi-Oh yourself.

I finally found one of those fabled trading card vending machines at the airport. They mostly had overpriced Pokemon cards but also one random marked up Yu-Gi-Oh pack of Battles of Legend. Yeah I had to pass on that. But it was cool to see so I thought I'd share. Anyone ever actually find decent deals in one of these before?

We're actually at Bandai Card Game Fest this weekend in Las Vegas! Alec is playing some Gundam against fans for fun. I just learned how to play the game properly today and it's been really fun. I feel bad for missing the Yu-Gi-Oh YCS this weekend, but we'll make it out to Columbus soon! 🫡

We're so glad to see the positive reception around our recent longform Yu-Gi-Oh chat videos! 😊 We already talk about Yu-G-Oh like that for hours off-camera, so we decided to finally just put a camera on it so you can all join in. They're meant to be easy listening and also a place for you guys to share your own Yu-Gi-Oh experiences and opinions without judgment. It's also a nice break from duels because we've done a lot of those and kind of burned out of good duel ideas so this is a good way to recharge. What else should we be talking about and reflecting on in Yu-GI-Oh (or even the wider TCG space)?
