I'm Cesar Chavez, a west coast fisherman, who grew up in Venice, CA fishing the Santa Monica Bay, Long Beach Local Islands, and down to San Diego. I fish for everything from rockfish, saltwater bass, halibut, seabass, yellowtail, tuna & marlin. I'm best known locally by my boat and team name "Killer Instinct".

I have over 25 years of experience fishing fresh and salt water for a range of species in California and Mexican waters. I've fished from shore, float tubes, kayaks, party boats as well as my private boat. When I'm not fishing on my 22' Davis Cortez, Killer Instinct, I'm taking friends and clients out on their skiffs and yachts, instructing them on the best techniques for local fishing -- from bass and halibut to yellowtail and white sea bass -- and putting them on the hot local bites.

I've competed in the SWBA & SBS Bass tournaments for multiple years, but now I've gone back to fishing for the pure joy of catching the biggest of whatever is biting with good friends!
