We placed 3rd in the $40,000 Creator Cup Tournament!

About a week ago, I was seriously considering taking a step back from Marvel Rivals, straight up, but this tournament rekindled my love for the game.

Not only is the Season 6 meta much more fun, but I was reminded that the best part of playing this game is with good teammates and friends so shoutout to TEAM ARAMORI who were honestly a pleasure to play with:

@aramori_MR
@MatchuxD
@Somjuu
@jaycerr
@Piratekingmo

The VOD is done uploading in the Live section for anyone who wants to check out the games, will post a vid on it soon!

Started taking ranked a bit more seriously this Season with who I decide to play (less Hulk), but still managed to play Hulk in our rank up game to Eternity. Didn't take too many games either, LETS GOOOOOO!!

New Years resolution is anger management. I feel that my rage levels are far too low to accomplish my goals so..

Starting January 1st, 2026 We will be doing MASS CHAT UNBANS and/or unban requests for any YouTube or Twitch chatter first Friday of every month.

If you don't get hit by the unban wave, just give me your YouTube @ or Twitch name via Discord.

First day of our Rogue unranked to Celestial challenge was a blast (we reached Gold). She's genuinely so much fun. Unfortunately, some IRL stuff came up so might have to push back Day 2 of the Challenge until Sunday. Stream schedule next week will be kind of random. SORRY! Will aim for both a Coach breakdown and a proper Rogue guide by the end of that week though. Also, just posted my first Rogue vid to the channel edited by me. love u chat <3

At Celestial and above currently (top .3% of players) Mr. Fantastic win rate is under 50% and Thing is still around 45%. I think people saw their "buffs" and overreacted to them a bit. I'm one of the only people I saw who said this, but I still think the changes made them both worse. However, Thing is one tweak away from being strong, but Fant is cooked as people are realizing % shred heroes do okay into him now, heavy poke still nukes him, and his worst Duelist matchups from a win rate perspective are all dive characters (below). If you do well on Fant, it's usually a sign right now that you're against average or below average Duelist players, which, to be fair can still reliably get you to a good rank.

5 takes on Season 5 of Marvel Rivals after the first day:

1) Gambit's design is overpowered, but REALLY cool and good for the game overall. He is fun to play with and has skill expression that will draw more players to the role of healer.

2) Hulk flows much better and has more opportunities to carry a game in each individual game, but he is still weak compared to most characters. Buffs feel great and not over the top like Psylocke or DD. Speaking of which..

3) There are still too many broken characters, but now that many weaker characters have gotten buffed this genuinely doesn't feel as bad and I kind of like the direction of the game.

4) Hate to say I called it, but Thing is worse. His WR is higher because of his new utility, but he needs massive buffs to his tankiness or this character will only get picked in niche situations. If they bring back his damage mitigation while jumping in it might fix him, but now that he needs uptime to gain shields in a meta that is gaining more and more damage every patch, I just don't think he will ever really feel good to play unless your opponents allow themselves to get cleaved by your right click.

5) Placements went smoothly (went 6-4) and got placed in GM 2. It really feels like the game is starting to respect your time more and so far I think they did a good job implementing ranked placements as well as letting people que in stacks again.

Below is where we peaked day 1, but unfortunately in my rank up game into top 500 I had a guy intentionally throw my game (tried to ban my Hulk then locked him and died on purpose, walled us in spawn as Groot, etc). This is starting to become the most worrying thing about Marvel Rivals moving forward. Despite it's flaw the game continues to feel fun, but the community moderation and the punishment towards greifers/feeders/wintraders seems to be non-existent. They need to improve!!

Either way, I'm really enjoying the patch so far and its a clear upgrade from Season 4 despite the game's balance still being pretty poor.

I'll be going on vacation to TwitchCon and to visit my friends who live in California and will be back the 25th of October (next Sauturday). Videos are lined up and will be posted, but won't be streaming too much during that time so our rank climb will be put on hold until I get back - we are currently Cel 2 rank 867 so we'll make our Eternity push right when we get back. I will however, try to stream once or twice from my buddy's place in LA on another account so be on the lookout for that. If you want to meet me at TwitchCon just @ me on Discord I'll be on the floor Friday only. Love you chat, without your support this trip wouldn't be possible so I'll be sure to post a few pictures.
