Stop overcomplicating protecting kids online!

And don’t be of the 90% that skip the first critical step…

Because there are only three parts to child online safety:

1. You
2. Your child
3. The technology

Yet most of us start backward.

You & your mindset matters THE most. Why?

🌷When you embrace your healing journey, you’re healing your child…which makes them less susceptible to online harm.

🌻 When you make mistakes and own them (internally and externally) you teach your kids that:

- it’s safe to ā€œfailā€
- it’s safe to come to you for help
- it’s safe to learn and grow
- it’s safe to listen to your advice

My mom learned this the hard way when knocked on her door and informed her that I’m leaving to meet some older guy I met gaming online.

Because the only thing that stopped me from meeting up with him near my friend’s house was the unexpected reaction she gave me.

Instead of being my ā€œperfect mom who needed me to be perfect tooā€ she became my ā€œexperienced friendā€.

And that moment changed my life forever.

She didn’t do this on purpose though.

She did it because she felt like she 100% lost me and trying to control me through anger or restricting access wasn’t going to work.

So she turned inward and let go of the mask.

She let her walls down and talked to me like a friend would.

She focused on her inner child. What she would have wanted as teen.

She showed me that my safe space was with her. And I didn’t need to seek elsewhere to find it.

After experiencing this, I believe this is the only foundational way to keep kids safe online.

What’s do you think?

If this resonated with you, let me know in the comments!

And feel free to repost so more parents can see. 😊

My mission is to make sure more kids don’t go through what my mother and I experienced.

Kids deserve a joyful online world free from grooming and predatory behavior!

One thing I LOVE to do is laugh.

Yes, I talk about protecting your kids online.

And in this screenshot I was speaking with NBC News on how parents can protect their kids from online predators in the age of AI, social media, and online gaming…

And we still made space for vulnerability and laughs.

Yes, I even opened up about my experiences being groomed on online games….

And we still had a moment to laugh.

To me, joy and laughter are an integral part of protecting your kids online.

And I explain why in this interview. Here’s the full clip: https://youtu.be/pSuSwsexgXI?si=wRVu1...

🚨 Roblox Explicit Content

Did you know that Roblox has explicit content?

No, not just the ā€œcondo gamesā€.

But something called explicit role-playing…

This is why effectively talking to your kids using my SAFE method, turning the chat off, and making sure your child’s account is set up properly is a MUST!

I’m hosting a Roblox safety webinar so you can discover the 3 things you need to know to protect your kids on Roblox.

This may be a weird question…but do you play Roblox?

I want to create a video with tips from Roblox players on how to stay safe in the game. Thanks!
