1,000 already?! 😮💚
Deb's World is absolutely flying - at this rate she’ll be overtaking us before we know it… and honestly, fully deserved! The love for proper facts and local history is clearly there, and she’s smashing it 👏🏼
Thank you so much for all the support you’ve shown her page. It really does mean a lot. Let’s keep backing her and those brilliant facts coming! 💚

If you missed Deb's World reel about Broadmarsh the other day, here are a few images of how Broadmarsh is looking right now 👀
The NHS Diagnostic Centre is currently taking shape, adding yet another new chapter to this part of Nottingham’s city centre.
What do you think about all the changes happening here? 💚

Sorry for being a bit quiet over the last 24 hours. It’s been a proper rollercoaster.
Dropping my hard drive with 3TB worth of data on it was definitely not on my to-do list 😩 Then it stopped being readable altogether. Safe to say it hasn’t been fun.
Years and years of memories… videos, holidays, projects… honestly everything.
Thankfully I’ve managed to sort it out (never felt relief like it 😅)

I honestly can’t put into words how shocked I am writing this.
25,000 on Facebook. Growing by 100+ a day. Wow.
There are hundreds (probably thousands!) of hours behind the scenes that go into this – filming, editing, planning, walking… and now it’s all starting to snowball. WOOO! 👏🏼
Thank you so much for the support, the comments, the shares, the love – it genuinely means everything 💚

Have you ever heard of Watson Fothergill – Nottingham’s most famous Victorian architect? 👀
Think you could spot one of his buildings if you walked past it?
This one on George Street was actually his own office, and he made sure it turned heads. The more ornate it looked, the more it showed off what he could do – a clever way to impress wealthy clients.
His style blends Gothic Revival, Old English vernacular, and even German / medieval influences. You can see it in the dramatic timber framing, patterned brickwork, carved stone details, steep gables and that striking turret reaching up above the street.
Once you know what to look for, you’ll start spotting his buildings all over Nottingham 👀💚

Do you come into Nottingham city centre much, or do you tend to avoid it? 👀

A few photos of the Earl’s Great Engine 👀
This Newcomen beam engine was built under the direction of the 4th Earl Fitzwilliam to pump water from Elsecar New Colliery, making it possible to reach deeper coal seams below ground.
It sits inside its original three-storey sandstone engine house, directly above the old mine shaft — and it’s the only atmospheric steam engine designed by Thomas Newcomen still standing at its original site anywhere in the world.
A proper piece of early industrial history, and a real reminder of how steam power helped shape the Industrial Revolution 👏🏼
