কেন্দ্রীয় সরকার জানিয়েছে, যে সমস্ত দেশ থেকে কম দামে উৎকৃষ্ট মানের অপরিশোধিত তেল পাওয়া যাবে সেখান থেকে তেল আমদানি অব্যাহত রাখবে ভারত। ভারতীয় তেল কোম্পানিগুলো ভূ রাজনৈতিক পরিস্থিতি ও অনুমোদিত সূত্রগুলোর কথা মাথায় রেখে তেল কেনাবেচা করবে।

বিদেশ ও বাণিজ্য মন্ত্রকের শীর্ষ পর্যায়ের আধিকারিকরা গতকাল কংগ্রেস নেতা শশী থারুরের নেতৃত্বাধীন বিদেশ বিষয়ক সংসদীয় স্থায়ী কমিটিকে এই তথ্য দেয়। শ্রী থারুর সাংবাদিকদের জানান, বৈঠকে ভারত-মার্কিন বাণিজ্য চুক্তি ও ভারত-ইউরোপীয় ইউনিয়নের মুক্ত বাণিজ্য চুক্তি নিয়ে আলোচনার হয়। বৈঠকে ৩০ জনের মধ্যে ২৮ জন সদস্য উপস্থিত ছিলেন। রাশিয়ার তেল ও কৃষি পন্য নিয়ে আলোচনার হয় বলে জানান শ্রী থারুর।

The Central Government has stated that India will continue to import crude oil from any country that offers high-quality oil at lower prices. Indian oil companies will manage their oil trade by keeping geopolitical situations and authorized sources in mind.

Senior officials from the Ministries of External Affairs and Commerce shared this information yesterday with the Parliamentary Standing Committee on External Affairs, led by Congress leader Shashi Tharoor.

Mr. Tharoor informed reporters that the meeting included discussions on the India-US trade agreement and the India-European Union Free Trade Agreement (FTA). Out of 30 members, 28 were present at the meeting. Discussions also covered Russian oil and agricultural products, Mr. Tharoor added.
