Dr. Shrestha began his medical journey in 1985 AD, completing MBBS at JIPMER, India. With an MD in Internal Medicine from Tribhuvan University, Nepal, and specialized training in Medical Oncology at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute, India, he is an esteemed expert.
As the Executive Chairman of Nepal Cancer Hospital, he provides state-of-the-art cancer treatment. Formerly, as Medical Director of Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital, he played a key role in its establishment. He founded NAPCare and NCSG, dedicated to cancer care.
Dr. Shrestha actively engages as a speaker, teacher, researcher, and organizer in cancer-related activities. He contributes to NNCTR's community empowerment initiatives and trains nursing staff on cancer care.
His vision integrates cancer treatment into national health policy and ensures coverage through a health insurance policy. "Cancer care for Nepalese within Nepal" embodies his goal of comprehensive cancer care for all.
