This is a small portion of Brian Glover's music, mostly in rough, barely-rehearsed, unplugged format. He's based out of Central Kentucky and has written music for 24+ years, with many detours along the way to keep him from pursuing music full-time.

These include serving in the Kentucky Army National Guard for 20 years through deployments to Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kosovo as an intel analyst/combat photographer, two business degrees, traveling all 50 states running marathons, a couple failed marriages, four miscarriages, helping take care his Mom with Lewy Body Dementia, and a lot of life challenges, just to hit some high and low points. Writing music is an outlet for coping with tragedy, celebrating happy moments, and in some cases, just being silly to not be a downer.

Had a heck of a rollercoaster weekend. Gut busting appearance singing Halloween parodies on Live with Rhett and Brett in Irvine Friday morning which you can find on Facebook. Then a super fun Halloween set Saturday morning with an extremely engaged and generous crowd in the Red River Gorge. Had to wrap-up an hour early to get to Nashville Saturday evening for the Josie Music Awards pre-party at the CMT theater, followed by the Josies on Sunday at the Grande Ole Opry.

Unfortunately, I lost to my old nemesis, "bro country" (see my songs "Cookie Cutter Country", "Do You Even Country, Bro?", and "Measuring Country Music"). The two categories I felt I had a chance at went to a song about southern girls "doing it better" and a country bro on steroids. Anyway, maybe next year. Music about real-life hard times (aka, classic country music) is not something the modern industry wants, after all, but I'm going to keep doing it because it's real, and live audiences often complement the authenticity that's lacking from they hear on the radio.

Regardless, it was good hanging out with local musicians on the big stage all dressed up, and good people watching. Maybe not worth $500+ on tickets and hotels 🤣. Anyway, overall, a memorable weekend. Maybe not as memorable as running marathons around the country, but cheaper and easier on the arthritic knees (complements of Uncle Sam).

Just over a week out from my appearance at the Kentucky Bourbon Jam Talent Showdown Tour in Richmond! Looking forward to an awesome performance in one of the coolest venues in central Kentucky. I'm planning to debut one or two awesome original songs, for those interested in coming out to the Bluegrass Barrel House.

For subscribers local to central KY, I'll be performing at The Burl in Lexington on March 4 as part of the Backroads Tour talent showcase, with an opportunity to earn a slot performing at the Backwoods Festival. I'm excited to get back in front of a live audience, as there's nothing quite as invigorating as the energy when a crowd gets into your songs. Information is at the link below.

So, I'm trying to get my Spotify streams up (honestly) for my three studio tracks, and created a Playlist that can be found at: open.spotify.com/playlist/04PVv9sX4PSm1ZXJ4ehoPc?s… . Please feel free to give it a listen if you get time, though you can hear the same tracks here on YouTube.

In other news, I've got another four tracks progressing in the studio that I can't wait to share in the next couple of months, three of which have the rough/early acoustic versions posted on the channel (Fly Me into Space, Middle of Nowhere, and Back Home to Kentucky). In this round, three out of four the songs fall more into the alternative rock genre. It's a slow and expensive process thus far, but hopefully all of this will result in a professionally-produced debut album by late 2023. God willing, anyway.

Lastly, I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for subscribing. Most of the stuff on my channel is spitballing to see what gets the most views and likes to see what I should plan to record professionally, as my resources are limited to pick what to pursue. So, thank you to everyone who's digging the music and checking-out the videos. Hoping it goes somewhere cool.

Hey, just wanted to let everyone know that I've been going through old recordings this week and setting-up "new" videos to release throughout the week starting today.

Also, there's a mini 5-song demo album being released Friday that I recorded back in 2006. Links to all streaming and download sites for the songs can be found at brianglover.hearnow.com/crying-eyes . Thank You to everyone for subscribing to the channel and watching the videos. My key goal in all of this is to share my music with the world, so every view and subscription is a step in that direction.
