"Our mission is to be a pioneer in Jamaica, reaching out to those who are affected and living with HIV/AIDS, to reignite 'hope' in Jesus Christ. We will be 'breaking the silence' in our churches and among other Faith-Based Organizations (FBOs) to remove the ignorance surrounding HIV/AIDS and at the same time eliminating stigma and discrimination by educating FBOs leaders and members on HIV/AIDS facts. We aim to encourage FBOs to become a place that delivers the highest possible level of love, respect, care and solidarity to those who are living with or affected by HIV/AIDS as Jesus Christ demonstrated. With this, we hope to increase access to HIV Prevention, Treatment, Care and Support (PTCS)."

Today, we honor Black History while advancing HIV awareness, education, and empowerment. National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day reminds us that although Black communities represent about 12β13% of the U.S. population, they account for nearly 38β42% of new HIV diagnoses. Awareness, testing, and access to care remain critical.

ποΈ In Loving Memory of Shirley Raines (1967β2026)
Today, we honor and remember Shirley Raines, a fearless advocate, humanitarian, and light to so many.
As the founder and CEO of Beauty 2 The Streetz, Shirley dedicated her life to restoring dignity to unhoused communities, especially on Skid Row in Los Angeles. Known lovingly as βMs. Shirley,β she believed that everyone deserves to feel seen, valued, and cared for, not just fed, but honored.
Through food, hygiene kits, beauty services, and radical compassion, she reminded the world that dignity is a human right. Her work earned national recognition, including CNN Hero of the Year (2021) and the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Social Media Personality (2025), but her greatest legacy lives in the lives she touched.
Shirley often said:
βI am a mother without a son, and there are many people in the streets without a mother, and I feel like itβs a fair exchange.β
Her love, courage, and humanity will continue to inspire all of us committed to healing, equity, and service.
