Most of you already know our love towards exploring premium and classy resorts. This time we made a roadtrip to Pelling, Sikkim to stay at @thechumbimountainretreatandspa and resort to experience the place and get the majestic view of Kanchenjunga from our room.
The resort is beautiful and is a must visit place, if you love premium stays.

Kolkata To Madhya Pradesh Roadtrip Series -

On the occasion of Kali Puja, let me share details of a wonderful road trip we undertook this year to Madhya Pradesh. Although the state never disappoints with its attractions, but this time we decided to go by road to also cover locations that often remain untouched. Additionally, taking this roadtrip was a massive saving in air-fare and then taxi-fares.

We made a round-trip across 7 states. Starting from Kolkata. Our first destination in MP was Khajuraho. Although this can be covered in two full day driving and one night-halt, but we restricted to 8 hour driving per day and took two night halts on the way. Enroute we visited the less covered locations like Chuna fort and Rewa fort.

After visiting Khajuraho, we had plans to visit two tiger reserves. Bandhavgarh & Kanha. We had great hopes from Bandhavgarh and it didn't disappoint us. We probably had the best tiger sighting ever!

While going from Khajuraho to Bandhavgarh and then to Kanha, we passed through some of the most desolate parts of India Taking the remotest roads through forests, barren mountain tabletops, and marine drives of reservoirs that are otherwise unknown.
