Got a fourth-generation Honda Odyssey with warm air at the vents when it's supposed to be ice-cold? In this step-by-step DIY, I replace the A/C compressor on a 2012 Odyssey with the 3.5-liter V6. I start with shop recovery of R134a so nothing vents to the atmosphere, then open up the front end for more working room, remove the cooling fan and serpentine belt, and pull the compressor. I cover a real-world hiccup with a broken mounting bolt and how to extract it. I also replace the receiver dryer and add about PAG oil with UV dye before reassembly. We finish with a safe recharge using a manifold gauge set so you can see both the high and low-side pressures.
