BREAKING UPDATE — Aravalli Range in Danger!
India’s ancient Aravalli Range — one of the oldest mountain chains in the world — is facing a major environmental crisis.
Recently the Supreme Court of India accepted a new definition of what constitutes the Aravalli Hills, limiting it to landforms that rise 100 meters or more above local terrain. Under this new rule, nearly 90% of the range outside that height may no longer be legally protected, raising fears of expanded mining, construction, and ecological damage.

🌿 Environmental activists across Rajasthan, Haryana, and Gujarat have protested this decision, saying it could harm the entire region’s climate balance, water sources, and biodiversity. Slogans like “Save Aravalli, Save the Future” are being raised in public gatherings and on social media.

👣 Tribal communities have also joined the movement, stating that the Aravalli are part of their identity and heritage, and urging stronger protection.
