It was just February 18th of this year when we reached 400 subscribers, now we're almost at 500. Could we reach 500 subscribers by the end of the year?
So, as with many creators, especially small creators, the song "Erika," which has often been associated with the NSPAD of Germany. It was created in 1938, when Hitler was in power, but its lyrics don't have any apparent political meaning. It is considered an unofficial anthem of the Germans during World War II despite this, it is still very controversial.
However, it is considered a "meme" song, and I used it as such, and I didn't mean it in any negative connotation. This was a video I uploaded over a year ago, and YouTube just started taking action of deleting the video for "hate speech." While just that would seem okay, and that video only had less than 100 views or something, it has effected my channel in many different ways, one such way in the way that YouTube recommends my videos. As you can see from the image that I will show, my video's view counts decreasing (Late April, 2025.) I haven't since addressed this issue on my channel, but it has affected my new content too. I used to average around 500 views on a video, and now, I can't break 100 with a video marinating for a couple days. This has become an issue for me, and I am not as motivated to upload a video now, knowing that it is likely not going to get any success. If I am being honest, my PC didn't work, and we were forced to discard of it, so mapping videos already weren't a possibility, so through the past year or so, I was not motivated to upload videos, so I uploaded videos of my trips in intervals, while taking long waits on other things. When, before this warning, my Prussia video was one of the top videos when you search up "Prussian Glory" or something related to that, now it is not even on there, despite having one of the most views of them on there. I also enrolled in high school, so I have a bit more homework than I had before, and I usually just spend my free time on leisure.
I was not using the video to promote any political extremism, nor condemning or trying to justify any actions done in World War II, because I agree that actions on the side of the Axis - Germany, Italy, Japan - were nothing more than disgusting, cruel, and inhumane; I was just using the video in the context of the common historical meme that came along with Erika.
Thank you for reading this, and even though I doubt that this would get any attraction due to YouTube not recommending me as much, I hope you see this and understand that if I am not motivated to upload videos as often anymore, you'd hopefully know and sympathize with me why.
Turns out I couldn't put the image as it doesn't fit the precise proportions that YouTube had for images or GIFs for posts, but it went from averaging 200+ views a day to averaging less than 40.
