Studio Canal Announcement - The Nightcomers
WORLDWIDE 4K DEBUT FOR THRILLING MARLON BRANDO DRAMA

The chilling psychological period chiller THE NIGHTCOMERS - starring Marlon Brando, Stephanie Beacham, Thora Hird, and Harry Andrews - makes its worldwide UHD debut on April 27 as part of STUDIOCANAL’s Cult Classics range, with a magnificent brand new 4K restoration, featuring a host of extras and four art cards. The film is also released on Blu-ray and Digital.

Marlon Brando's intense performance dominates this atmospheric, sexually charged feature from a golden age of British horror, directed by the legendary Michael Winner (Death Wish). The film, also starring Stephanie Beacham (Schizo), sketches a prequel to Henry James' classic Gothic novella The Turn of the Screw, with Brando in typically compelling form as the servant whose disturbing, magnetic presence exerts a corrupting hold over the occupants of a country estate.

Described by acclaimed critic Rex Reed as “gripping, spine-tingling and terrific” and “eerily and effectively told” by The Sunday Express,, THE NIGHTCOMERS is dripping with atmosphere and laden with dread, and features steamy scenes between Brando and Beacham that is bound to bring Henry James purists out in a cold sweat. Fans of Jack Cardiff’s The Turn of the Screw adaption The Innocents and Nicole Kidman’s creepy classic The Others shouldn’t miss this: one of Winner’s most fascinating and sheerly enjoyable films.

SYNOPSIS: Following the death of their parents, Flora and Miles are left in the care of repressed governess Miss Jessel, and housekeeper Mrs Grose. But it is Brando’s Peter Quint, the malevolent servant, who truly rules the household. Miss Jessel, equally repulsed and fascinated by Quint, is drawn into a secret sado-masochistic affair with him, while Flora and Miles are increasingly in his thrall...

THE NIGHTCOMERS is available to buy on 4K UHD, Blu-ray and Digital from 27th April 2026 and available to pre-order here - amzn.to/3MCrfSG

Studio Canal Announcement - The Man Who Haunted Himself
WORLDWIDE 4K DEBUT FOR SUPERB ROGER MOORE THRILLER

Stalked by fear and terror - night and day! The brilliantly taut and twisty psychological thriller THE MAN WHO HAUNTED HIMSELF - starring Roger Moore (A View To A Kill), Hildegard Neil (Anthony and Cleopatra), Freddie Jones (The Elephant Man), Anton Rogers (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) and Kevork Malikyan (Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull) - makes its worldwide UHD debut on April 27 as part of STUDIOCANAL’s Cult Classics range, with a stunning brand new 4K restoration, with a fantastic set of extras and four art cards. The film is also released on Blu-ray and Digital.

Expertly directed by Ealing veteran Basil Dearden (The Blue Lamp), THE MAN WHO HAUNTED HIMSELF features Roger Moore as you’ve never seen him before, giving a powerful performance as a businessman whose existence is reshaped by malevolent forces. It’s arguably Moore’s greatest non-Bond role (and his personal favourite) - and it’s a double treat for Moore fans, with the actor playing both a conservative businessman and his mysterious doppelganger.

Described by Variety as a ‘tense riddle’, THE MAN WHO HAUNTED HIMSELF keeps the viewer on the edge of their seat as they try to second guess Moore’s peculiar fate. Overlooked by audiences when it was released in 1970, the film is now regarded as a cult gem, with a central role that sees Moore not just shaken and stirred but scared out of his wits.

SYNOPSIS: Harold Pelham (Roger Moore), a partner in a large electronics firm, finds himself in bewildering circumstances after recovering from a near-fatal car accident. What causes him to renounce his high business principles? Why do friends and colleagues repeatedly sight him in places he has never been? And why does Julie, an attractive girl he has seen only once, claim such an intimate relationship with him? Does Pelham really have a doppelgänger – or is he losing his mind?

THE MAN WHO HAUNTED HIMSELF is available to buy on 4K UHD, Blu-ray and Digital from 27th April 2026 and available to pre-order here - amzn.to/3ZEtiIS

NEW ARROW VIDEO ANNOUNCEMENT!
Wandering Ginza Butterfly Collection (Limited Edition Blu-ray)

On the same year that she defined the action heroine with her role in the Female Prisoner Scorpion series, Japanese screen legend Meiko Kaji teamed up with future Sister Street Fighter director Kazuhiko Yamaguchi for a diptych of gambling, deception and violence set on the mean streets of 1970s’ Tokyo: Wandering Ginza Butterfly and its sequel She Cat Gambler!

The first film sees Kaji’s character Nami “The Red Cherry Blossom” returning to her old stomping ground in the seedy Tokyo district of Ginza after a stint in prison for killing a yakuza boss. She soon settles in, living in her uncle’s pool hall and working at the local hostess club. But when ruthless yakuza Owada (Koji Nanbara, 11 Samurai) attempts to take control of the club, Nami and her uncle devise a plan to take him down. In the sequel, Kaji is paired up with the equally legendary Sonny Chiba at his most charismatic as the streetwise Ryuji, who takes a shine to Nami and decides to help her on her quest to avenge her father. Together they’ll comb through every seedy gambling den and lowlife ruffian of the Ginza underworld until Nami finally zeroes in on her prey.

Meiko Kaji is magnetic as the steely and righteous Nami, whose foray into Tokyo’s sordid back alleys is brought to life by Yamaguchi’s energetic direction in this electric spectacle of 1970s Japanese crime cinema.
