Take aways from my interview with Will Sammon:

-Mets still interested in Diaz but TBD if they'll concede to 4 or 5-year deal
-Position player front is moving slow (including Pete Alonso)
-Mets seem unlikely to give a FA SP a long-term deal based on Stearns' track record
-Believes Mets are more likely to find outfield help through trade than free agency
-Can see Mets trading for a top of rotation starting pitcher which could lead to a Kodai Senga trade
