🖤🌹 The Tragedy of Fatima al-Zahra (s.a.) — A Heart-Touching Narration
On the Day of Her Shahādat
🌙 After the Prophet ﷺ
Madina had never felt so dark.
The day Rasulullah ﷺ left this world, the entire city seemed to lose its soul — but nowhere was the grief heavier than in the small house of Ali and Fatima.
Sayyida Zahra (s.a.) would sit by the grave of her father ﷺ and whisper:
“Father… after you, hardships have poured upon me that only Allah knows.”
Both Sunni and Shia narrations agree:
Fatima al-Zahra (s.a.) cried so much that the people of Madina felt the sorrow in their homes.
🔥 The Day the Door Was Approached
Soon after the Prophet’s passing, political tension rose.
A group arrived at the door of Fatima (s.a.) — the door the Prophet ﷺ used to stand before and call:
“Peace be upon you, O People of the House.”
What happened at that door is narrated differently by various scholars, but the earliest Sunni and Shia historical books agree that:
Voices were raised.
Threats were made.
The house of Zahra (s.a.) was pressured.
In Shia narrations, and in some early Sunni historical texts, it is recorded that the door was forced, causing injury to Fatima (s.a.).
Behind that door stood the daughter of the Prophet… holding her unborn child, Mohsin.
Her pain began on that day — pain she never fully recovered from.
💔 Her Illness
From that day on, Fatima (s.a.) grew weaker.
The light of the Prophet’s household dimmed.
Imam Ali (a.s.) says in old manuscripts:
“Whenever I looked at Fatima, my grief would disappear —
but after that day, sadness never left her face.”
Her ribs ached.
Her strength faded.
Yet her worship increased.
Her prayers were drenched in tears.
She spent her nights in dua — not for herself, but for the Ummah.
🏴 Her Last Day
On the final day of her life, Fatima (s.a.) called Imam Ali (a.s.) and her children.
Her voice was soft, but her words cut through the silence.
She told Ali (a.s.):
“O Abal-Hasan… my time has arrived.
I am leaving this world to my father.”
Then she gave her last will:
• “Bury me at night…”
• “Do not allow those who hurt me to attend my funeral…”
• “Keep my grave hidden…”
Even Sahih Bukhari narrates:
Fatima remained displeased and requested a night burial.
🌹 The Final Moments
Fatima (s.a.) bathed.
She put on the clothes she had prepared for her meeting with Allah.
She lay down facing the Qibla.
And she whispered:
“Peace be upon Jibra’il…
Peace be upon my father Rasulullah…
O Allah, with the tears of an orphaned daughter, I come to You.”
Her voice fell silent.
The home of revelation lost its last brightness.
🏴 The Night Burial
That night — a night darker than any before — only a few loyal ones walked in silence behind Imam Ali (a.s.):
Salman
Miqdad
Abu Dhar
Ammar
A few women of Bani Hashim
No large gathering.
No public farewell.
No open grave for the world to see.
Ali (a.s.) stood by her resting place and cried:
“O Zahra…
Your separation has crushed my heart.
Life after you is nothing but tears.”
He buried her in the night…
And her grave remained hidden — just as she requested.
🖤 The Legacy of Her Martyrdom
Whether one comes from Sunni scholarship or Shia scholarship, all agree on this:
🌹 Fatima Zahra (s.a.) is
Sayyidatun Nisa al-‘Alamin
The Leader of the Women of Paradise
The heart of the Prophet
The mother of Imams
The defender of truth
Her broken heart is a wound in the history of the Ummah.
Her hidden grave is a silent witness for all times.
🤲 Today, We Remember
Tonight, we bow our heads and whisper:
“Peace be upon you, O Fatima Zahra…
Peace be upon your tears…
Peace be upon your broken ribs…
Peace be upon your secret grave…
Peace be upon the crushed heart of Ali…”
May Allah grant us her love, her purity, her path, and her intercession.
