Sunday Morning Log: Life Has No Opposite ☀️
I just posted my latest log and wanted to share the heart of it here. I’ve been reflecting on a line from Dawson’s Creek: “Life has no opposite.”
To me, those words are a reminder that life doesn't have an alternative—it just is. Between heart-shaped family pizzas and my Sunday Reset, I’m choosing to meet that reality with gratitude and self-love.

Title: The Monks are Walking, and I am Dancing
"The Monks are walking And I am dancing With my light I am romancing..."
I was deeply moved by the recent historic Walk for Peace, where Buddhist monks completed a 2,300-mile journey to Washington D.C.
I was especially touched to learn that the monks’ rescue dog is named Aloka, which means "Light." It felt like a beautiful confirmation of the message I’ve been carrying: we are all doing our part to make the world a better place, one step—or one dance move—at a time.
I’ve posted a video featuring a poem inspired by this event. I am finding my own rhythm of peace today. How about you?

There is a specific kind of bravery required to be quiet in a world that demands noise.
It’s 4:44 am. I’m in the Zen Den, it’s cold, and Bob Marley is playing on the mental loop. Today marks Day 40 of my log—the traditional number for a wilderness journey—and I’ve reached a new conclusion about "The Book."
We spend our lives trying to attain freedom, but Marley reminds us that it’s an inside job: "None but ourselves can free our minds."
I used to think understanding was a hunt. A chase. A loud, intellectual struggle. But this morning, the "prophets" are telling me something different. To understand is actually to absorb. It is to quiet the mind enough to let the truth soak in, rather than trying to wrestle it to the ground.
I am refusing to be "productive" with my thoughts today. I’m not writing a manifesto. I’m just listening.
I am Latisha. I am free. And today, I am simply absorbing.
