In case you didn't see the update on the Discord, my last Trails video recording was corrupted and I lost all the footage. I will try to at least cover the important parts that happened story wise next week.

On the bright side, it was a lot of combat so if we were going to miss something this was the day for it.

Today is the birthday of TheBlueShifting (Not my personal birthday, the channel's) And I thought we could have a fun live stream holiday special.

We tend to do this most years and this year the stream will start earlier than usual. I plan to go over the results of the poll, talk about the channel as a whole, set goals for the coming year. I also have a SECRET project to reveal! Finally I want to showcase one of my favorite games with a Legend of Heroes twist.

All in all, this should be a fun time. The stream will end when I get tired.

Alright everyone we need to make this Re-Election happen!

If you want to see the details and full disclosure of why we are running the channel poll again, please see my most recent video (posted on Tuesday December 23) where I go over what happened and why we are doing this again.

For now I will focus on the changes. I am taking a few steps to protect from shenanigans, and the vote results will no longer be visible until the vote has been completed. We will reveal the final results on Friday.

Also! In order to shake things up we have added a fourth option to the poll! The runner-up from last channel election “The Labyrinth of Grisaia” is making a comeback! This will also help shake up the results and keep the election more dynamic. This is part of a strategy to keep things fair and balanced this time around.

I know this is probably a frustrating update, but if you look at the details in the results video, I think you will see the issues I was looking at. This process is meant to be a fun opportunity to be a part of the content on the channel, and I appreciate your passion for these amazing games. All I ask is that you remember that we all are passionate for these games, and that I fully intend to play every game in these polls.

So I have to say I need more time for the Sunrider episode. Once again my skill is the issue, the fights leading to the ending have been taking a lot of time, so what I recorded turned out to be really really short when edited. Instead of a reallyd short video I've decided to delay and have a proper length video next week. (There is a decent chance it'll be the finale)

First day of the break, maybe I'll call it my "holiday" and I'm actually coming home! I have to go to work tomorrow so no room to breath but it was worth it.

I went to Dragonsteel Nexus, organized by Bradon Sanderson but it was a place a lot of writers and fans of books got together. There were panels for aspiring writers, fans, and geeks in general.

I ran a game of the new Cosmere TTRPG and had a blast doing so. The con even had a kind of game where you unlocked a story by solving riddles, used clues to follow a map, and coordinated with other con goers to solve the finale mystery.

It was a great event, probably the best convention I've ever attended. I hope to attend again next year.

I know we won't see content this week but I really needed a personal trip like this, it was a chance to do something exclusively for myself. I'm really glad I took the time.

Hello Lab Members!

As is the American tradition, today is Thanksgiving. I love the idea of setting aside time to think about the bounty of the harvest, the joys of family and friends, and the pleasure of perusing our passions. Despite all the darkness and corruption in the world, there is so much beauty and joy to be found in it.

Thank you for being a major part of that joy. I get the pleasure of sharing the best games, stories, and characters with one of the greatest online communities on the internet. No matter what happens or where we go from here I will always be blown away by how fortunate I am.

Thank you for being here, and I look forward to sharing many great and wonderful adventures with you all.

So, you might have noticed that there wasn't a Sunrider Video today. Truth be told I find myself to be pretty stuck. I'll go into the details of what exactly happened but I essentially soft locked my save. I tried for a long time, too long really, to move forward naturally. In the end I either will have to replay a significant amount of the game on a new save or I will need to modify the current game setting so much as to eliminate the majority of challenge.

I dedicated too much of my limited free time to trying to get past this and all I currently have to show for it is hours of footage of me failing the same fight over and over. So I need some time to get this worked out, and now that my work week is in full swing I couldn't make anything interesting for this week.

So I'll work on things in the background for now, and the rest of the weeks videos are good to go so I'll see you all tomorrow for Trails in the Sky. Thanks for your patience.

Sorry to say that there will not be a Chaos;Head episode today. I ran out of time despite feeling sick because I had to start going back to work. So this week will have to be a rain check.

I'm doing better although not at 100%, more like 70%. At least that's improvement!

Next week I hope to be back on track, thank you for being patient and so supportive.

Sickness is still going strong. Went to the doctor and they ruled out the usual suspects (Flu, COVID, Strep) so we are now on wait and see. I was told to stay away from work until the symptoms clear up.

Im going crazy, and part of me wants to just make videos even if I'm hacking and coughing through the whole thing! But I've recorded when sick before and I'm not a fan in hindsight. I tend to miss things and struggle to keep up as well as sounding awful. I'll probably just focus on getting better for now.

If I'm still symptomatic on Saturday the doctor wants me back in so we can consider more dramatic options.

Sorry, everyone, but I seem I have succumbed to Papa Nurgle. Looks like I have Strep.

I already recorded the next episode of Higurashi, and it's a long one. But since this is my recording time and I really sound terrible, I'll need to postpone recording until I feel better.

So it might be a bit, which sucks. Trust me, I'm plenty miserable already but I'll come around and get back to recording as soon as I am able.

Till then, I'll go back to bed...
