Week 6 of the 52 Week Movie Challenge dares you to go old school by watching a movie from the 1950s or earlier. This week I chose to watch a vintage sci-fi classic, The Incredible Shrinking Man released in 1957 and released on blu-ray from Criterion. What a terrific presentation with some great bonus features which are always fun to dive into right after watching the movie. Check out my review short on my SHORTS tab.

Steven Spielberg has won his first Grammy award, making him just the 22nd artist in history to become an EGOT winner — an artist with an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony award. The 79-year-old won the Grammy for best music film for the documentary "Music for John Williams", which he produced. Congrats to my favorite director! Well earned. Well deserved!

And week 5 was a movie from one of my Favorite Foreign Directors so I chose British filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock. I have really been enjoying his filmography. This time I finally watched Dial M for Murder. Really good!! I'll be posting my short review soon.

Time to recap the last two weeks of my 52 Week Movie Challenge. Week 4 was a Female Led Action Movie and I went with Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. This movie was spectacular with practical stunts and effects. Anya Taylor Joy was good as the younger Furiosa but Hemsworth steals the show! Check out my quick review in the shorts section.

As a huge SCTV fan growing up, I have always been marveled at how effortless Catherine was at comedy. From Second City to Beetlejuice to Home Alone to Schitt's Creek and everything in between, she was a remarkable talent and will be missed. I will honor her tonight by picking from the many gifts gifts she left behind.
