A Chief Master Sergeant asked John two simple questions that sealed our decision to leave the military.
"Do you have a plan?"
"Are you financially prepared?"
When John said yes to both, he told him something unexpected:
"Then I don't want to convince you to stay. If 99% of Americans thrive without military careers, so can you."
The Reality:
Military life offers incredible stability and benefits, but it also means 14+ more years before we could pursue our real goals - seminary, ministry, and being close to family.
Sometimes the "safe" choice isn't the right choice for your dreams.
What's the biggest factor holding you back from pursuing your real goals?
Drop your thoughts below - whether you're military, civilian, or somewhere in between.

Full episode breaks down our 3-tier planning system (long/mid/short-term) + the vision boarding technique that actually works.

Church shopping is harder than house hunting π β‘οΈβͺ

β Cool worship, great coffee, fun events
β Biblical preaching, real discipleship, elder accountability
We found our home church, but it took experience (and some mistakes) to know what to look for.
What's the most important thing you look for in a church?
Or biggest red flag you've seen?

Survived dating across continents during a war πͺ
Long-distance for 18+ total months across dating AND marriage.
The truth?
It's harder than anyone admits π
What worked: Daily intentional texts, monthly visits, Sunday fasts
What didn't: "How was your day" calls that went nowhere
Marriage long-distance hit different though - way more grace,
but also way more loneliness.
Currently in a long-distance relationship?
What's your biggest struggle right now?

Instagram vs Reality: What living in Italy is ACTUALLY like
Real talk: Italy isn't the romantic Instagram paradise everyone thinks πΈβ‘οΈπ
