It's a very strange sensation to be so incredibly excited, but at the same time feeling so incredibly sad, depressed even, watching the home studio I built over the last 15 years go (carefully bubblewrapped) into boxes, and sealed shut for the long journey ahead. I am looking forward to the change of scenery... but the move is harder than I expected.
Just a quick note to anyone who's watching, the time draws near; closest I've been to my final destination in 37 years of wishful thinking. See you in the trees, friends ❤️
Here's a little "before & after" for ya. I already miss my synths!
Alright. I'm about to do the one thing I swore to almighty dog I would never do... publish Shorts. Here (on YouTube), on Instagram, and X even... why? Because I need to put something out there to keep people interested while I continue down this road to recovery.
For Shorts-haters like me, I'm sorry. I will do my best to not blow up your Notifs/Feeds with my shorts (insert fwapping noises here). Do let me know if it becomes obnoxious though... I need very little reason to not do this.
Friends, here's a little update. I usually do not get too deep into my personal details on this Internet of things, but I did want to let the few followers here know what's been happening. Short version: I ended up with a pretty horrible infection in my jaw/gums due to a cracked molar, and the surgery to (quite literally) save my life involved every tooth being extracted; replaced with implants - you know, so someday I can eat again. It has been a very positive experience, scary as it is, but I have been totally out of commission as far as "talking" goes - and you know how much I love to talk. Now that I am on the recovery side of this, I hope to get back to making at least some music/modular/synth videos until I get my voice and speech "recalibrated" :-) Should take a few months, at the most.
Thank you so much for hanging around despite my quiet mode, and I hope to see you again very soon!
PS: I will probably delete this post, since I believe I am posting it in a drug-induced stupor :D

Time for a little Christmas cleaning and reorganizing of the modular(s). This should be the last cleanse effort on the Emerald Island :)
Merry Christmas my friends, and have a very Happy and Healthy New Year!
