Champions, your voice helps guide the future of the Choice of Champions™.
Join us tonight at 6 pm at Clermont City Center for an informal community forum. Stop by to ask questions and share your input ahead of the Comprehensive Plan Opening Presentation.
Then join us Thursday at 5:30 pm at Clermont City Center for the official Comprehensive Plan Opening Presentation as we look ahead and plan for the future of our community.
As the work day draws to a close this Presidents Day, we invite our Champions to pause and reflect on the extraordinary accomplishments of the United States and the leaders who helped shape and strengthen our nation.
With America’s 250th birthday on the horizon, it is a meaningful moment to celebrate the ideals that unite us and the generations who have carried them forward. Here in the Choice of Champions™, we carry that same spirit through service, unity and a shared commitment to community.
From all four corners, we have come to Clermont to build our story side by side, united as one community and one nation.
Champions, the Honoring the Fallen 5K is this Saturday and there is still time to register and be part of something truly meaningful.
This powerful event brings our community together to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave everything in the line of duty. Every step taken is a tribute to their sacrifice and a show of support for Code 4 and COPS, organizations that stand beside the families left behind and provide care, connection, and hope when it is needed most.
Let’s come together as the Choice of Champions™ and show that Clermont stands strong for those who serve and for the families who carry their legacy forward.
Champions, Monday kicks off another week packed with great activities at the Clermont Arts and Recreation Center and we cannot wait to see you there.
From energizing Jazzercise and relaxing chair yoga to martial arts, basketball camp, tennis lessons, pickleball and so much more, there truly is something for every age and every fitness level. Whether you are looking to try something new or sharpen your skills, you will find top notch instruction and a supportive atmosphere that helps you grow stronger every day.
We are proud to offer so many ways to get active, build confidence, and connect with neighbors, all with quality programs led by outstanding instructors. These are just a few of the many reasons we are the Choice of Champions™.

Earlier today, Clermont Fire Department assisted Lake County Fire Rescue with a brush fire near the 1600 block of Johns Lake Road in Lake County. As a proactive safety step, the Department of Forestry crews will be conducting a controlled back burn to help secure the area.
Some nearby residents may notice light smoke for a short time. If you live close by, please use caution, close windows and doors as needed, and set home ventilation to recirculate. Impacts are expected to be minimal.
Human Remains Identified in 1988 Missing Person Case
The Clermont Police Department, in partnership with the Ocoee Police Department, has announced that human remains discovered in 2009 at what is now Lake Hiawatha Preserve have been positively identified as Ernest Joe Manzanares, who was reported missing in 1988.
This breakthrough was made possible through the Clermont Police Department’s determination and collaboration with partner agencies, including the Ocoee Police Department, along with the application of advanced DNA testing and genetic genealogy. Their combined efforts provided long awaited answers for the Manzanares family.
