Brown Mogotsi has publicly said he doesn’t trust the state-provided security detail offered to him ahead of his scheduled appearance before South Africa’s parliamentary Ad Hoc Committee investigating allegations of corruption and political interference in the criminal justice system. Instead of using the protection offered by Parliament’s own security teams, he wants Parliament to pay for his own private security team of people he personally trusts, for about seven days while he’s in Cape Town to testify.
