Anyone got a good Minecraft server recommendation (preferably with other YouTubers, for cameos) where I can chill in every now and then? Not gonna become a Minecraft YouTuber, just want to play :p
Per the last post, I've taken on a more backseat approach to running this channel, making space to showcase other game video creators! For the first video, let's welcome Jzb16, and their interpretation of Kill Zone!
It's all I've ever hoped for this channel, and now we're here! So what's next?
I'm very proud of this channel for inspiring others to be creative, and as a faceless and voiceless YouTube channel, we're in an unique position to host others on this platform, to showcase the creation of other game videos, made by the viewers!
As promised for 100K, here's a detailed guide on how I make interactive game videos, so go have fun! You can upload to your own channels, or join our Discord to submit your creations! Other members will playtest your design, and if it's good, we'll help you share it with the world! (with credit, of course :) )
For long-time viewers, this video should feel like an amalgamation of previous games, with white obstacles on black background, red player icon, and yellow travel circles! It uses the 360 degree feature for navigation, combined with JKL quick-time events for simple action sequences! While it doesn't solve the issue of not having any collision detection and being unable to force restart, missing a QTE will throw the player off the timeline, where restarting might be easier than hopping between dimensions! So if you've got a spare couple minutes on your hands, I invite you to try out our latest game: https://youtu.be/PJDL8HaGJOY !
This might be the most game-like video in YouTube history! It builds on the maze-like mechanic from the previous video, but adds time-skips for a whole nother layer of interaction! It also comes with a meticulously designed layout, coins to collect, and support for most devices! If you enjoy this new interactive combination, blow this video up and I'll consider turning this into a choose-your-own-adventure series!
Knock knock. Who's there? Not not. Not not who? Not not is the title of a logic game that inspired this new interactive video!
A while back we stopped uploading 360 videos, due to how little innovation could be had with the caption+360 combo. We got so caught up with adding captions to everything, that we didn't fully explore what the 360 feature could achieve by itself! Well, better late than never!
A bona fide long-form video! I mean, not that long, but long compared to the channel average of one and a half minute! And it's an actual video! No gimmick, so you can watch and learn something about caption designs from mobile devices! If this video does well I plan to do more caption mechanic reveals, to help others who want to get into the creative world of YouTube captions! But for now, check out how these pixel art animations are rendered through YouTube captions! Idea from @PardeepSinghReal
who commented "Make a caption animation of Steamboat Willie" two videos ago!
Finally, Animated Captions! A lot of people have already done this before, so I didn't feel the need to recreate one... until I wrote my own caption generator and realized how much more optimized it could be! A lot of space was neglected since one layer of captions can't convey depth, but how about 2? 5? 30? While technically depth still isn't conveyed even with 60 layers, they're able to overlap shapes to create more precise pixels! Check out this attempt at Bad Apple (https://youtu.be/3dL1KI35BbI) and this one with 512 colors! (https://youtu.be/RadZHvbz-nA)

Long time no video! But now it's time!
To see what I've been cooking behind the scenes, simmering for months...
A dungeon crawler!
