A 10-month-old baby, Alin Sherin Abraham from Kerala, has become the state’s youngest organ donor.
Alin suffered severe injuries in a road accident on February 5 in Kottayam when the car she was travelling in collided with another vehicle. Her mother and grandparents were also seriously injured. She was initially admitted to hospitals in Changanassery and Thiruvalla before being shifted to Amrita Hospital in Kochi on February 7. Despite doctors’ efforts, she was declared brain dead on February 13.
In the midst of unimaginable grief, her parents, Arun Abraham and Sherin Ann John, made the courageous decision to donate her organs.
Alin’s liver, two kidneys, heart valve, and two eyes were donated, reportedly giving a new lease of life to five people — a legacy of hope born out of profound loss.

Goldman Sachs' top lawyer Kathy Ruemmler resigns after emails between her and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein revealed a year-long close relationship where she called Epstein "Uncle Jeffrey" and downplayed his sex crimes.
Ruemmler earlier called Epstein a "monster" in her statements, while the newly released emails showcase something different.
Rummler was Jeffrey's legal advisor. In context to the recent row follow-up, “I made the determination that the media attention on me, relating to my prior work as a defense attorney, was becoming a distraction,” Ruemmler said, speaking on her decision to step down.
In the series of emails released, messages from her in context to a Victims’ Rights Act lawsuit brought by Epstein’s accusers show Ruemmler wrote to Epstein, “I told you that this CVRA case is about money.” And in another message after inquiring about which lawyer was handling the case, Ruemmler wrote, “Victim’s rights, my ass.”

The Supreme Court has stepped in over the June 12 Air India crash in Ahmedabad that claimed 260 lives. A bench led by the Chief Justice has directed the Aircraft Accidents Investigation Bureau to submit a detailed status report within three weeks. The court has also sought clarity on whether the probe followed international aviation protocols. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta told the court the inquiry is nearing completion but requires inputs from foreign agencies. The judges will review the findings before deciding if a court-monitored investigation is needed.
