Hey Everyone! In the ever evolving landscape of how YouTube works (or doesn't work); how creators get discovered, how videos get promoted, and how channels earn money for their work. All of those things have become harder over the years and especially since YT instituted some major changes in late 2025.
For the 19(ish) years this channel has been on YT I have stayed away from sponsors and paid promotion of products. (I tried once on 2-3 videos and decided it wasn't for me) So all income / cost offset on this channel is from the pre-roll ads, and that has diminished over time.
I decided last year to quietly add a 'Buy Us A Tea' donation QR code to the end of the videos. Didn't mention it, just tacked it on to see what the reaction would be; and it has been positive. So I will be adding a visual callout / screen banner in the middle of the videos starting this weekend.
Of course nothing changes; help if you can with a donation, if you can't don't worry the channel will still be free until I decide to retire.
