As a smokey Scotch lover, Bruichladdich has long been one of my favorite distilleries and just this year was gifted my first Octomore (13.1). Tonight I had the privilege of tasting this year’s Octomore lineup, “Black Art,” classic PC10, as well as their experimental PMC 10. Octomore 14.1 and 14.3 blew me away!! 🤤 Huge thank you to @whisky_devin @mrhitime @arestaurant_newport for hosting such a special evening! Truly a “bucket list”event with great people and very special pours. Slàinte! 🥃🔥💨💨

@yourdrinkingbuddy was right, don’t sleep on this Whiskey Del Bac Dorado!! Found the last one in stock at Total Wine for $60. This reminds me so much of a Lagavulin except for the sea salt notes, and the Dorado has a richer sweetness from the wood-based smoke and new barrels. Definitely a “buy” if you like smokey whisk(e)y! 🥃💨🌵🔥

Four Roses Single Barrel store pick from Stearns Spirits in Long Beach, CA 🌹🔥 OESV, mash bill E: 75% corn, 20% rye, 5% barely. Aged 10 years 1 month. Can’t wait to open it 😍

Picked up a special cask strength Lost Monarch by Redwood Empire signed by Master Distiller, Jeff Duckhorn!
He signed it in honor of my mom who was there celebrating with me. It reads “Cheers Joyce! Cancer free!” After finishing 4 rounds of chemo to beat her lymphoma 🥳

Picked up these two delicious store picks from Tequila Ranch Liquor’s Grand Opening in Paramount, CA!
The Woodford Reserve Double Oaked store pick is a baked cherry pie with caramel syrup.
The Elijah Craig small batch store pick is easily 30% more flavorful than the normal SB. At a reasonable price it’s definitely a regular go-to. Awesome owners and solid selection, especially tequila. Check them out and the video:
