Outdoors is my passion! I love to be outdoors hunting, or fishing. Follow along on the journey as we learn and grow together! There’s always more to learn about the great outdoors and Our Lord and Savior. I never stop learning!
I don't watch professional fishing anymore. I don't keep up with the latest rules and regulations. Professional fishing has lost the "WOW" factor. I no longer look forward to watching the next BASS or MLF event. WHY? Watching a professional tournament more resembles an episode of the Days Of Our Lives than it does a competitive sport. How do we fix this? The focus has shifted off of catching fish and more to what drama can be cultivated from a group of anglers hitting the water. Don't get me wrong I will always enjoy some light hearted smack talk and finding a competitive edge. This is not the reality of what is going on. It's much more about feelings than results. The focus seems to be shifting from big tournament organizations and back to the smaller creators and influencers in search for more fish catches and less dramatics. We are all searching for the nostalgia and feel of an early morning on the water where all our worries melt away and we feel as close to God as we ever have. The value of fishing is not in drama, it's in relaxation, focus, and love of competition. Let's shift the focus of fishing back to catching fish and off of the dramatics. I love to catch fish. I love to compete. I love to fish tournaments. I love the adrenaline pumping feeling of catching a 5 lber. I don't love the high drama "he said, she said" spectacle that bass fishing has turned into. Let's rewrite the narrative. Let's Make Fishing Great Again and focus on what truly matters, catching fish, enjoying the outdoors, putting food on the table, and a relaxing reset from a hectic and busy personal life.
