What We Drive
You might have noticed that What We Drive has not been producing any videos for quite some time. Truth is, no new video has been shot, and I have been dealing with depressions since the end of March. This has been eating me away as I have been struggling to see hope and light from time to time. I feel bad for not making new videos. I have been taking sleeping medications to aid my sleep. I know this mental state cannot go on forever, and I am trying to adjust. Granted, this is not the easiest thing to do on earth. I hope to see you soon in the next video though. This post is both for those who would watch my videos and for myself, to remind myself that there is something that I started.

The Targa Roof design from 1966 still looks amazing today on this 2021 Porsche 911 Targa.

My latest video is now live! This time with even better opening and ending, as well as the overall style of the review. Oh, and should I mention it is worth exporting a 564GB master file before uploading to YouTube for that extra crispy clarity and sharpness?

What We Drive
Hi guys! What We Drive finally got its first 1000 subscribers on YouTube! I have published a special episode to celebrate this day and answer 10 of the most frequently asked questions from viewers and friends. Please be sure to check it out! Timestamps are available for every question so feel free to jump to the ones you asked or are interested in.
Next up, a Porsche Panamera (not the base model) awaits! Please stay tuned.
I know, 1000 subscribers is not a crazy big number. Many YouTubers may be able to get that in just a day. However, in the past year and two months, from filming my first video, to first time trying to speak while driving, to the first time making subtitles for my audience oversea, to the first time losing clips, and to the first time of getting a thumb up... 1000 subscribers did not come easily. Sometimes people seem to think that a YouTuber should have hundreds and thousands of subscribers and make a good amount of income, but is that true?
When you finally dig into the world of YouTube and other video platforms, squeeze the time out of your daily routine, obtain the resources, walk through all the appraisals and insults, the kind of feeling of "Oh, I didn't do it for nothing" was incredibly encouraging and real. I love cars, and I love sharing my thoughts. It doesn't matter if I have good equipment, and it doesn't matter what people say about me. I stay true to myself and do my best to better every detail, audio, edits in the videos. I do things that don't fail my audience. After all, in today's "fast-food" cultural environment, picking back up the Craftsman's spirit is a meaningful thing.
Thank you to all my friends, families, subscribers, and viewers. Car reviews with passion (and vlogs, sometimes) will continue for you!
