Crown of Life Church was founded in 2013 with a vision to be a church that models after the Early Church as described in the Book of Acts. As such, we emphasise on the need for both a solid grounding in the Word and strong manifestation of the Holy Spirit’s power. Through this, believers can be empowered to live fully consecrated lives in preparation for the Lord’s return.

Started this youtube channel at the beginning of this year (2025) to upload my sermons. Hesitant at first as 1) I don't speak eloquently, 2) I am camera shy, 3) I did some research and found that viewership of sermons are usually miserably low, in proportion to congregation size of the church or number of subscribers.

Thank God that despite of these considerations, we still manage to upload them week after week, till today we have uploaded 77 videos all within a year, with number of subscribers steadily growing from 10, now to 70.

In the course of it, there were moments of discouragement and doubts, wondering whether it is worth doing it, since who is really interested in my usually 2 hrs long sermons. But each time I felt like giving up, the Lord's voice to me was to keep on doing. I told myself, if many have used these platforms to spread lies and negativities, all the more the people of God should use these for spreading of the truth.

I thank God that through the course of it, I have become more confident in front of the camera and bold in proclaiming the truth.

Thank you to those who have occasionally popped by the channel, subscribed, liked or left a remark. Initially I thought numbers don't matter. But I have to admit that each time the count increases, it lights up my face. It really encourages me to keep on keeping on.

As we enter into a new year, may we grow more in the Word. May the knowledge of God increase in us. May the truth be established firmly in our lives, that no danger, adversities or challenges could ever rock us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus.

What is the Kingdom of God?

Some think of miracle power. Others think of global mission. Still others think that it is a destination where we arrive after we are gone.

But through the Gospels, we see that the Kingdom of God is a reality that is manifest in the life of every believer and the Church. The message that Christ preached and the disciples received was the “message of the Kingdom of God” (Mt 13:19). So what is this message?

Matthew begins his Gospel with the Sermon on the Mount, a grand exposition on what Kingdom living is. The Beatitudes, in particular, teach us the principles to inherit the Kingdom of God – to be poor in Spirit, meek, hungry for righteousness, pure in heart etc.
