Important Announcement!
Cutting to the chase, I am retiring my discord.
No I am not quitting ROK and yes I will still stream fights in 1981 here and there... but at a much more infrequent rate that I have in the past year (not including the last 2 months ;P)
I have decided to retire my discord server because my desire to create content is at an all time low...
The direction the game has gone the last year (fully reliant on piloting at the top level and the shift from money=time to money>time) has drastically reduced my desire to give a shit as I have moved up the totem pole of competitiveness.
My intention when creating this YouTube and discord channel was to appeal to the hardcore gamers, those who wanted to min/max their ability to play Rise of Kingdoms.
The ability of a content creator to make original & unique content past the boundaries of the game are becoming increasingly more difficult; even though there are still many instances of creative freedom in the ROK YT scene as expressed by some new emerging content creators. But the reality is that every ROK YouTube channel now races to release the exact same content "first" for more views and the content becomes predictable and rushed.
Quite frankly, in my jaded opinion, the ROK content scene is repetitive, making the same tier lists, the same commentary, or being overly enthusiastic about changes that clearly do not benefit the overall health of the game. In that same vein, we also lost the magic of kingdom and account reviews, as very few accounts have any individuality of ownership and accomplishment due to the rampant buying and selling of top tier accounts.
I say all this while Lilith continues to ignore major issues such as matchmaking, camp positioning & balance, and the lack of a catch up mechanic for newer players that doesn't cost an actual arm and leg (They just released an event costing $700 per blueprint... wtf is that greed?). I have always tried to present my YT channel as a realistic representation of Rise of Kingdoms and where I see the game going in the future and I can no longer be enthusiastic about the direction of the game.
Don't even get me started on the skins that require a $500,000 investment...
The reason why this game thrives the way it does is it forces you to create bonds and friendships with the people in your community. That community has been you all, and the people I have met in 2638 & 1981 over the last 5 years... I have always, and will always put my community above the gameplay as my ROK YouTube channel was strictly for entertainment and my desire to spread that same feeling with other people. I do not want to feel obligated to release content if I do not want to. In that case, I will continue to hang out with the lovely community that is currently 1981 and those of you who I have met through making content.
I appreciate all the support everyone has shown me over the past 3 years of making content. I will never forget the generosity and love many of you showed. Cheers to you all and nothing but the best wishes for whatever comes next for all of us.
P.S:I released a video a few months ago on the "Reality of Rise of Kingdoms," many of those points still are true and are the reason for this announcements today. I recommend you watch it

With 1981's massive KvK wrapping up & (another) move occurring, my content will be few and far between over the next month(s). It's been difficult for me to log in to the daily grind of ROK and I would rather avoid burnout and come back strong for next KvK!
Life is busy, but that's a good thing. Hope y'all are enjoying the start of the fall season!

No pass opening stream for me today as 1981 does not have a zone connected to 2377/3473 so I did not take off work.

I am shocked by the resilience of 1818 & their allies. A few hours after KL opened i saw nearly 0 earth camp members fighting 2293 but now momentum has shifted and they have re-entered KL. We may have another Zigg opening fight on our hands!

Hello to all that are curious as to the diplomatic results of our current KvK. I would like to promote a video created by a fellow friend and content creator @Acqina who does a great job explaining the issues behind the scenes of this Pre-KvK discussion.
As of now I will officially announce a 3v1(All vs Wind). All camps were unable to agree upon a solution and eventually 1175/1718 decided to leave the discussion and act in their own self interest. The rest of the camps agreed that in no situation would a 2v2 be more fair, so the only option left was to ally together and figure the reward distribution based on future events and wind involvement in the KvK.
To their credit, I do not blame any KD and do not think any KD acted irrationally. The truth is, we all suffer from the poor camp system Lilith has created and it is something that needs to be reviewed so that it does not occur again.
