Still one of the best gaming decisions Iâve made.
The GPU situation right now:
Desktop GPU prices are absolutely wild. Building or upgrading a PC is painful. The Steam Deck gives you solid 1080p gaming for a fraction of what a new graphics card costs alone.
If youâre on the fence:
Battery life is incredible now. The OLED screen makes everything pop. And youâre playing actual PC games, not mobile ports. Your entire Steam library, truly portable.
Games that just hit different on this: Hades. Stardew Valley. Elden Ring (yes, really). Vampire Survivors. Balatro. Anything turn-based or roguelike feels perfect here.
The couch gaming experience alone justifies it. Playing while someone else uses the TV. Gaming in bed without a laptop burning your legs. Flights that actually go by fast.
Where it stands now:
Valve keeps improving it. Better compatibility. Smoother performance. The ecosystem actually works.
If youâve been waiting for the âright timeâ to grab one, this is it. Especially with desktop GPU prices being what they are.
So excited for 2026. My focus will be all on you. Iâm your guide - helping you find great products that marry form and function AND how to use those products to improve your life. Thanks for trusting me and my team with your time this year. On to the next! đđ»

Most earbuds are built to remove you from your environment.
Thatâs not always a win.
Nothing Ear (open) does the opposite.
Sound without sealing you off.
Music without disappearing from the room youâre in.
No noise canceling.
No pressure.
No âeverything fades awayâ effect.
You hear what youâre listening to.
You also hear what matters.
Theyâre light.
They stay comfortable.
They donât demand attention.
Calls are clear.
Design is quiet.
Nothing feels accidental.
These arenât for tuning the world out.
Theyâre for staying in itâon purpose.
Open sound.
Open ears.
Nothing Ear (open).
