🟢 Cheaper: Glucometers, test strips, spectacles & lenses, thermometers, combs, hairpins (12–18% ➡ 5%)
🟢 Zero GST: Pencils & crayons (12% ➡ 0%)
🔴 Costlier: Yachts, revolvers, pistols & smoking pipes (28% ➡ 40%)
The shift focuses on easing costs for health, education & daily-use goods, while taxing luxury and non-essential items higher.

Domestic institutional inves-tors (DIIs) poured in 294,829 crore of fresh money into Indian equities in August, the second-highest monthly inflow after record 1.07 trillion influx in October 2024. The month also extended the buying streak of DIIs to 25 con-secutive months, eclipsing the previous 22-month run from April 2017 to January 2019.
