Another long chat here replying to a comment on part two of my reaction video. This in no way a negative thing, I'm gonna make that very clear. I genuinely love hearing feedback on my work and how much people like it, etc.

There is one thing I'd like to put out, though. My darker content, being possessive dynamics most of the time. Because if you've been here since I've posted dsmp content, you know that I generally posted heavier subject genres. (Manipulation, toxic relationships of many forms, etc. IYKYK. Nothing weird.)

When it comes to such content, I do my best never to take it lightly, especially now.

(What you're about to read is my personal reply to the comment)

Yeah, I know obsession tropes are not everyone's cup of tea, and if any content I make glorifies it, I promise it's not my intention.

The concept just genuinely intrigues me as someone who takes in darker topics and genres in media, psychology, plus research is literally a hobby to me, I don't add the obsession trope without taking into account how it'd play in with the lore of the au and character.

As well as doing research to make sure I'm doing things correctly as possible.

I'm gonna use four characters an example.

Tanjirou, Kanao, Genya, & Zenitsu. (In my au, at least)

Tanjirou's obsession is platonic/familial with his sister. But it's not with her he's obsessed with, it's the obsession of protecting her and keeping her alive at all costs. (He'd harm himself severely if it meant she'd be alive and safe.)

He trusts her to take care of herself, he doesn't feel threatened if someone he genuinely trusts is in contact with her. But if someone gets too close or poses a possible threat, he gets a bit unhinged. Not in a crazy outwardly way, it's very subtle. Kind of like Shinobu's silent way of being angry, I love the parallels between the two.

Genya, his obsession stems from severe abandonment issues & fear of losing an attachment of an object/person. Thanks to Sanemi, unfortunately. Being forced to fend for himself and loosing all trust in others.

Genya has a morally grey way of thinking at times, he doesn't mean to most of the time. He's technically not threatened by others getting in contact of the current obsession, but rather the thought of said obsession ever leaving him.

Tanjirou being this example, being one of the only people aside from close family, to be there for him in ways he's never experienced or felt in so long.

Showing him that vulnerability isn't always a bad thing, staying by his side when everyone else would generally leave out of fear/disgust. Yeah, it happens to be a romantic interest in this case but that's not all there is to it. He's not just possessive just to be possessive.

Zenitsu, pretty cut and dry. He has an extremely difficult time understanding genuinely safe unconditional affection because of how harmful and conditional he had it growing up.

Several girlfriends, dept, toxic relationships (familial/romantic) etc. He wants to be loved, craves it. But unlike Genya, he does get a tad bit envious.

His obsession with for those he cares about is his way of keeping them in his life is by keeping tabs on them.

He knows it's wrong, but he's never learned healthy versions of love (aside from his gramps) so, he doesn't know any better, but it doesn't excuse it either.

Kanao, it's extremely subtle. It's not specifically a person or specific group of people she's obsessed with.

But obsessed of the idea of feeling human, normal— because of said person/people she's drawn to because of how desensitized she is to feeling emotions and having difficulties pinpointing them.

Often adapting to the obsessions personality as a way closer to feeling something.

That was so long, but anyways. Dynamic wise, I try to add small details of the dynamics even if they don't talk much in the video. (I'll work more on that in future reactions)

Senjuro, he's sweet. Down to earth, I try to add little interactions/details here and there between them because the cannon anime/manga gave us very little of potential dynamics and relationships.

Tanjirou & Shinobu parallels, as I mentioned before. There's so much that could be done with that. Aoi being a physical grounding measure to Kanao without overwhelming her, same with the Kamado Siblings. Tanjirou gets overwhelmed easily on an emotional level sometimes. Nezuko & Genya's subtle interactions, etc.

I tend to change my username a lot, so, when people still recognize me for my older content, I'm shocked. (And flattered because I'm glad people like my content)

As I was saying, when delving into repulsive or grey traits, dynamics, and topics. I tend to go into research before applying it to an au or headcanon of a specific character it's being applied to so it'd correlate to their cannon lore.

Which is what my au is, it explores what could've been done with demon slayer had it been given more time to expand the timeline for more potential dynamics, missions, back stories, etc.

Is all my work perfect? No, I understand that. Nothing is ever going to be perfect, and I appreciate the feedback people give me so I can take things into consideration when adding to my au lore.

Which I have more to expand on as we speak. Thank you, I know this was long but I appreciate it nonetheless.

I have quite a few gacha mods on my old phone, so I decided to go through them to see how much my style has changed... Uhm. I'm going through whiplash.

I don't have anything negative to say about the mods aside from the lag I get with gacha nebula sometimes. But they've never gave me trouble about saving slots and designs. (Wish I could say the same about gacha life 2, I have to paste the link to every design into a doc or notes app thing. I use Elipsus, personally)

I might try to start using these mods again, they're genuinely peak. The only mod I have that I haven't used at all is an updated version of gacha nebula that has a completely different file and couldn't back up designs. Cool features but laggy as shit.

The only reason I rarely use gacha Club or any mods similar to it anymore is because I got a bit attached to gacha life 2...

Last time I touched a mod to make a video was early 2024 I think.

Random ass tangent.

I JUST REMEMBERED I HAD A TUMBLR ACCOUNT THE OTHER DAY.

I was looking at fanart the other day, and it led me to the TUMBLR page. My initial thought was that the account I had was connected to a gmail address from my tablet that I no longer have fuckinf access to, then I'm like, lemme make an account with the one I have now.

Turns out I already had one w/ my current gmail address. 💀

Don't remember ever doing so, but then again my memory is ass. I have to fix my fuckass wattpad account as well. Reddit, I have that too. I usually go there only for things I'm curious about or to read stories like fanfiction.

Twitter, I barely touch it but I have an account. Same with Instagram, I mainly just look at art tbh. Rednote, I use it for art tips.

And I still use AO3.
