U.S. Border Czar Tom Homan is addressing the media for the first time since arriving in Minnesota to take over immigration enforcement operations throughout the state. Homan took over for Border Patrol Commander Greg Bovino, who left Minnesota on Tuesday with some of his agents, and will be the public face of immigration enforcement in Minnesota. Homan has already spoken with Gov. Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey about Operation Metro Surge. Both Walz and Frey said they voiced their concerns about the current immigration enforcement tactics, and agreed that an ongoing dialogue would be beneficial.
