The first full-scale static test fire of the Booster Obsolescence and Life Extension (BOLE) solid rocket motor, the next generation solid rocket booster for NASA’s SLS (Space Launch System). This test, known as the BOLE Demonstration Motor-1 (DM-1) test, demonstrates the ballistics performance of the BOLE motor design that features carbon fiber composite motor cases, as well as its nozzle, insulation, and electronic thrust vector control (eTVC) vectoring performance.
