Nepal has appointed Sushila Karki, a 73-year-old former Chief Justice, as the country’s first female Prime Minister after weeks of violent protests left at least 51 dead and over 1,300 injured. The unrest, fueled largely by Gen Z demonstrators, erupted over corruption, unemployment, and even a temporary social media ban that sparked outrage nationwide.
