In today’s video, we are making an authentic Chettinad Mutton Chops using 1 kg of cleaned mutton.
First, we prepare a special Chettinad masala powder by dry roasting:
2 tbsp coriander seeds, 6–7 red chillies, a little fennel, pepper, cloves, cinnamon, and cardamom. Grind it into a fine powder and keep aside.
Next, sauté one small onion and a little big onion in oil, add ginger–garlic and fry well. Add 2 small tomatoes and sauté. Grind this along with 2–3 small coconut pieces into a smooth paste.
Heat oil in a cooker, add spices, then add our ground paste and mix well. Add the cleaned mutton and sauté until the raw smell goes away. Add turmeric, salt, our special masala powder, and 1 spoon Kashmiri chilli powder.
Pour little water, close the cooker and cook for 5–6 whistles.
Your delicious Chettinad Mutton Chops is ready to serve!
