Today’s recipe is a fusion of Mediterranean Greek style appetizing meal which is ready in just 5 minutes. It is made using only 5 main ingredients. The main star of this recipe is feta cheese which has tangy flavor and crumbly texture. It can be served as a spread over crusty bread or lavish bread for simple meal or use as side dish with your grill meat.
Feta cheese is originally made with sheep milk, goat milk or combination of both. Feta cheese has long roots from Greece. It is made from sheep milk using rennet which coagulates milk into curd and separates the whey. After that it is aged in brine. Feta is a good source of calcium, protein, probiotics and has low fat and calories. Its texture is crumbly and salty or tangy in flavor due to high amount of sodium content. It is good to consume in balance portion.

Ingredients
Fresh feta cheese 8 oz/227g
Dressing:
Olive oil 1/4 cup
Turkish Pepper paste/hot sauce 2 tbsp
Dried mint 3/4 tsp
Salt & pepper to taste
Freshly squeezed lemon juice
Directions
In a small bowl, pour olive oil, add fresh lemon juice, dried mint, salt & pepper and whisk together.
Place feta cheese on cutting board, pat dry excess brine water, slice cheese into lengthways.
In a serving plate, drizzle prepared dressing generously. Place feta cheese slices on top over olive oil mint dressing. Garnish cheese with dried mint. Place pepper paste in the center ( here I used Turkish pepper paste which is mildly hot in flavor but if you like hot spicy flavor, you can use any pepper paste according to your taste).
Serve with crusty bread or as a spread over lavish bread. It can also be served as a side dish with your grill or skewers.
