Have you ever wondered why dolphins sometimes swim in front of ships? Some people say they do it to guide the ships, but this is not true at all. Ships have a part called a “bulging bow”, which is designed to stabilize the waves and reduce drag and fuel consumption. This bow creates an underwater wave known as “wake”. And guess what? Young dolphins have figured out this trick, using this forward thrust of the rudder to reach high speeds without even flapping their tails “just” for excitement. #Dolphin #nature #animals
