In this video we show you how nanodiamonds are made. Nanodiamonds are a type of diamond that is smaller than 100 nanometers in diameter. They have a variety of potential applications, including in medicine, electronics, and cosmetics. The detonation synthesis is the industrial method to produce nanodiamonds. Another technique is liquid phase ablation of graphite in water. With this method high quality nanodiamonds can be produced.
