New oil painting of nature and peacocks and roses. We had the most pleasant encounter in an overgrown garden. We weaved our way in labyrinth of pathways through weeping willows, flowering shrubs, African lilies the size of trees. It was raining, but this brought even more magic to the atmosphere as raindrops traced the folds of jurassic plants and fell all around us to a rhythm all their own.
We rounded a corner and the rain began to fade… We looked up to see Peacocks high in the tree tops cawing in a haunting tone . They saw us too and descended in a thunderous flapping of wings as we stood in awe. Their colours flashed in the sun that was beginning to emerge. Like aliens tilted their heads in curiosity the walked slowly and curiously around us. This is where we had an opportunity to see them up close and feed them ! They were the sweetest. This was the part of the garden where trellises hung heavy with roses. I felt like we had steeped into a living tapestry.
