Jane showed what life was like for women in Georgian upper society, using wit and humor to show how ridiculous it was, but she also touches on the hardship done to women stuck without means, and in her novels Mansfield Park and Sanditon to also touches on other issue of the time, portraying people and characters that would normal be forgotten.
