Today I decided to grab a one by one by four piece of Bass wood and just start carving and see what came of it
Very quickly, I saw Viking in this piece of wood, and I decided to follow through with that. After the sale of the cat, it’s nice to have a win. Lines came out nice and clean was a pretty straightforward carving.
I’m still toying with a couple of ideas. One being adding horns, another being braids on the ponytail on the back like Johnny Layton does. 
And I still have to put some texture in for the beard and the mustache with my vague gouge when I’m running out of sun
