Born Maria Josefina Albert-Pacis, Joey rose to fame after winning Dream Girl Filipina and performing with The New Minstrels. Since moving to Vancouver, Canada in 1994, she has remained active—hosting The Joey Albert Show, performing for Filipino communities, and supporting causes like Gawad Kalinga and Typhoon Haiyan relief.
From making history as the first Filipino artist to perform solo on a cruise ship to winning the 2019 Aliw Award for Best Foreign-Based Performer, Joey Albert continues to inspire with her talent, faith, and resilience—even through her battle with cancer.
