On December 20, 1911, Vancouver made history when Frank Patrick opened the Denman Arena, the largest artificial ice rink in the world at the time. Though tragically destroyed by fire in 1936, Denman Arena's contribution endures as a pioneering hub for hockey and the site of Vancouver’s cherished Stanley Cup triumph, leaving a lasting mark on the sport and Vancouver's hockey legacy.
